My Betta Is Verry Shy

my betta is very, very shy, he hides all day, he eats a little bit any ideas whats wrong, i just put him in his tank on tuesday could he still be settling in?, im going to do a water change in a sec any ideas,

What's his water temperature? Does he have a heater?
What size tank is he in?
Is it filtered? If so maybe the current is to strong?



He still could just be settling in. I would only start to really wonder after a week of having him.

the tank is 2.5 gallons and its at room temperature with no filter or heater
