My beautiful girl

My beautiful orange lyretail swordy passed away today. I found her lying underneath her favourite plant (a sword) shortly after feed time. I have had her for approx. 12 months and she was the prettiest swordy I owned. She had more attitude than all my other fish put together and mothered many fry (only one I managed to catch who is thriving with the guppy fry)....

This is one of my saddest losses as I loved this little girl. I do't usually get upset over fishy deaths but this is hitting me hard

This is her a few weeks ago. She hated her pic being taken but she stopped swimming briefly to get it over with

Bye bye little girl May you find peace in your new place with other fish you once swimmed happily with

Awww, Chook. I'm so sorry to hear that.

She was very gorgeous. I guess one (sort of) comfort is that you have one of her kids...hopefully s/he will grow up big and strong.
