My Beautiful Bettas

Still, technically she should be banned as she broke the forum rules
which rule is that? She was obviously burned at the stake by an angry mob, I honestly can't blame her for getting a new ID. I'll admit that I never saw the first thread that Sukie posted a link to or I'd have handed out warnings left and right.
But in my honest opinion I don't see anything wrong with buying fish and rehousing them. Tell me, what is the problem with that? I myself have bought fish at shows then given them away because I had no use for them (oh no she didn't just say that....!) Yeah, I did.

Drop it, leave her alone, and find better things to do with your time rather than worrying about these obviously beautiful fish being given to new owners

Oh good, I'm not the only person that noticed this? I was trying to be nice, but the fish - and the tanks and ornaments, since I previously owned several of them - looked a little too familiar. I think multiple usernames is against forum policy, though I can see why it happened given the volitile reactions these posts seem to earn... not that I'm excusing the behavior. I think all in all, the best thing a person can do for their reputation is try to improve it over time, instead of run away from it. I think anyone looking at this post can see that the fish are presently in good shape and appear well cared for with proper sized tanks and ornaments to play around in. That is definately an improvement, yes? Last time BettaBum posted, she did say she was trying to get her bettas down to a more managable #... perhaps she has achieved this goal?
Actually from the looks of UB, she's looking to buy and breed plakats, so it doesn't look like she's very concerned about having a manageable number anymore. :/ Maybe her situation's changed since then, who knows... but still, there's no excuse for this dishonesty.

Usually when a person starts a topic people talk to them, not about them

wow, you guys really do need some heavy handed moderation. So much for a self efficient board.

Well I think your bettas are nice. :D I like your yellow CT too. Wish I could find one.

Actually, wuv, there's a -LOT- more to the story than that. It mostly took place on another forum which I don't think you're on.

No, but I know which forum you speak of and I could go on and on...
But what takes place over THERE should not be brought here to TFF. That forum only exists because such mob mentality BS is not tolerated here at TFF. Leave it there.

 Wuv!! You're Swiss aren't ya!! Forum drama is so much fun!! (Sure I don't have a life - but that's not the point here)

Just kidding. . I just wanted to point out who is was, so the folks know who they're talking to. :good:

Yeah, there's a lot more to this story than meets the eye. Either way, I agree with RW, there's no sense in running from your problems... especially when it didn't work the first time around.

Thank you wuv for sticking up for me, I appreciate it, but I am the one at fault here and should explain myself. As most of you know a few months ago, and over the course of a couple months after, a lot of things went sour for me on this board as well as on another forum, which I'm sure most of you know about as well. I admit to getting way too "betta happy" buying and then rehoming many bettas in a short period of time, I also had many ups and downs, financial problems and gains, many of which I never really explained, so I know I came off as very flakey. And it did get to the point where I was thinking more about the money than the fish. I even purchased a fish on the other forum, as a rescue, with the impression that he would have a forever home with me, and than advertised him for sale, though I never did sell him, and that was many months ago, I still feel bad for doing that. I know it will take a very long time for those who know me to welcome me back to this and the other forum, and you guys may never trust me again... But I'm really not a bad person, I just made a lot of bad decisions and never took the time to explain myself well. For the past month or so since I stopped posting on this forum and the other I have been working hard to set up my tanks well, and get money and supplies in order. I currently have 7 males, all in 1-2 1/2 gallons and 4 females in a very well planted 10 gallon. I have everything set up and ready to try spawning again, and I promise you that any fish you ever see for sale or adoption anywhere by me will be fish that I personally bred, and if I ever post a fish that I didn't breed personally, I'll ban myself (if thats even possible) So i'm really sorry for what I've done in the past, and I'm not asking for your trust or forgiveness, at least not yet, all I'm asking for is another chance. Thank you

-Kylie :D

I was just going to say give her a break... She's only trying to do what's best for her fish, and I'm sure all of us have went on a betta frenzy buying stage (I know I did) whether we rehomed some or not. She's thinking for their best interest, and I can understand that. So, welcome back, and your fish are gorgeous. I still want a yellow CT...

awww, well that was a very nice note. Your current fish sound very well cared for. And your bettas do look beautiful and happy.
