I Love my fishies
Fishaholic
I thought I would share some of my observations with you all.... at the moment I have 3 tiger barbs (bout 2.5in) and a baby green brab (bout 1in) I know they should be in groups of six or more just waiting to do a fishless cycle on my new bigger tank and I will get some more barbs.... anyway after some research I have come to realise all my tiger barbs are male, the tiger barbs are acting really quite strangely they would do head stands and spread all their fins out on display and push each other out of the way .... and then I realised they where all trying to gain the little green barbs attention she is a female it is really quite funny she just watches them and they all show off and try and get her attention for mating reasons (they are like teenage boys he,he) it is really quite cute...... but I am wondering if this is weird at all because the little female is only young and small and I would think it would be impossible for her to carry eggs yet, anyone who could enlighten me on Barbs breeding habits it would be much appreciated
