I had set up a 10g tank with 2 Mollies and 3 tiger barbs adn eventually a pleco. My husband decided to add some water since it was getting low but since that first water change....all but one tiger barb and the pleco have died off. I dont see how it could hve been the water becuase we do the same water change with our other 10g and have never had a problem but my question is...I want to move my Tiger barb into the other tank so its not alone but will it get along with the other fish. The other tank consists of a small school (4) gold barbs, 3 cichlids (the tiny kind that live in shells), another pleco, some snails and a danio. Or do you think the other fish wont take to him in their community they have going.?

Also...i've been watching the tiger barb in case he showed signs of dieing also ..its been about a month and he seems fine so im not worried of the other tank being harmed.

I'm afraid I'm not going to be the most reliable source here, but I dont think it would go all too well. Tiger barbs tend to be very nippy and will more than likely not leave your other fish alone. I've also heard they need to be kept in a group of at least 8 to keep aggression and nipping down. I also think a 10 Gallon is a bit small for a group or tiger barbs, so I'd not try to make that a tiger barb tank. I'd think your best bet is to see if your local fish store will take him back. :/ I'm sorry, I'm sure you've gotten attached to this fish, so I'm just giving my opinion here, I'm not telling you to do anything :)

Also, I dont know the size of your second tank, but danios prefer to be in a large group as well, so if you can without overstocking anything, I'd buy another 4 or more danios.

I dont know anything about the other fish, so afraid I'm not the best help here
