I know this has been covered before but what can I feed my baby guppies apart from crushed flakes.
I have bloodworms and brine shrimp in a jell can I feed them that??
and does anyone know where in edinburgh I can get some baby brine shrimp.
Thanks

Sorry, I am not from edinburgh but I might be able to give you some advice on food. I have breed guppies for more then ten years with quite some success. I usually start with either curshed flake food or baby brine shrimp, if you can find the packages that will hatch themselves. These will help with quick growth for your fry. Frequent feedings are a must but I recommend frequent feedings and water changes. With luck you will have frequent, beautiful offspring.

Hatching brine shrimps is the way to go for livebearer fry. Try online stores - most carry some form of hatchery. You can also build one using 2L coke bottle if you like. (I posted a message a while back with details on this as well).

I dont know how well it works because I myself have never tryed it but they do have liquidfry for livebearers. Also you can get Brinshrimp eggs at you LFS and sometimes they even have hatchery kits.

My molly fry love brine shrimp cubes! They literally attack them  ! Buying the cubes is less time consuming for me and they are usually just as good for the fry(try Hikari brine cubes). I also use Hikari First Bites and crushed TetraMin flakes. I usually crush freeze dried food to put along in the flakes though. You can also make a paste out of crushed freeze dried foods and flakes that is like Liquifry #1. My fry attack it almost as much as the brine shrimp cubes. You can try squished hard-boiled eggs but my fry pretty much stuck their noses up to it and plus it stinks  ! If you have any more questions feel free to ask!
