A little while back I changed my substrate from gravel to sand, but still wasn't happy with the look of the tank. I thought I'd add a few more plants and a few little pots for them to hide in as almost had a death due to a cory getting stuck in a hole on the second tier of 1 of the pagodas, I literally had to pull him free, he's a little sore looking but seems happy enough.

Anyway this is how it looked originally;

Then after the substrate change;

Then I added a few more plants & some pots;

Then I added a background, printed it myself, it's just an underwater scene which had sand on the bottom so I thought it would look good with this tank having sand;

Its a very nice decoration. I liked the japanese decoration lol especially the castle. Very well done.

I think the background would be better if it was of Japan.

Look at all the little cories huddled up together in the pagoda, sooo cute!!!

Thanks for the replies :)

I did think about having a background with a pagoda and a lake on it but I thought the underwater pic looked nice and the blue colour makes everything stand out more then the japan background, plus I think the corys like it more, more natural :)

They LOVE the little pagoda, the 2 biggest ones always rest under there I have caught them squeezing through the tiny doorway on the bigger pagoda, was surprised they got through. They are just very curious about little gaps LOL. That's how 1 of them got in trouble, he tried to squeeze through the gaps on the second level of the small pagoda and got stuck, poor thing, he was firmly wedged and at one point I thought I'd have to put him out of his misery as I couldn't push / pull him out of it. But in the end I managed to get him free, couple of grazes but he's doing fine and I think he's a little more wary of small holes now LOL!
