OK, heres a very very poor sketch of what I hope my tank will turn out like once 'scaped.

If I can pull this off I hope it will look great.

The CO2 diffuser will sit beside the filter on the left hidden by the plants :D

Any comments / opinions / criticism ?

Regards

Jake

Lol, exactly what I end up doing when I set up a tank.
I'd move a couple of the taller plants near the front as it adds more depth to the tank and also provides more cover for the fish. Other than that, it looks fine.

Thanks Angie,

I did order a largish piece of driftwood I was planning on using before making the sketch, but I'm happy with how it looks so probs wont use it otherwise the 1:1.618 ratio wont work. Ah well lol

If I can find my camera, I'll post a pic of mine. Used bogwood and petrified wood with plenty of plants.

might slightly change the riverbed so it goes straight for a while then curves off and have the driftwood at the back just at the corner of the riverbed still on the golden ration line.

I just guess I wont know until I have everything and start the manual stuff :good:

This is how mine looks at the moment, just waiting for the plants to grow on a bit:

Thanks,

That's really nice Angie, what CO2 unit are you using in there?

Thanks.
No CO2, just using heating cable and laterite. A bit of trial and error and will introduce CO2 if needed but the plants are doing really well at the moment.

Right, the riverbed will have white sand as the substrate, :D just need to work out the "banks" of the "river"
