My Aquarium

Well here's my aquarium so far.

It's Owners:
1 Female Zebra Danio
2 Male Guppies
4 Female Guppies

Filter: Fluval 2
Heater: Unsure what watt it is
Substrate: Sand and White Stones
Temperature: 24-26-28

I'm real sorry if it's blurry.

I also know it looks abit bare at the moment but I will be buying a ancient ruin decoration with lime green plastic plants attached to it.

I also might be buying pH down as it's near the 8.5 -9.0 area took me by surprise!!!

A pH of 8.5 - 9.0 is very high! Why is the water level so low??

that's why im going to buy pH down.

the water level is low because I have yet to put in the ruin decoration which will make the water level rise

Not bad tank, but Zebra Danios do like to shoal, what sized tank is it?

it's 45 litres I think?

I may be getting rid of the Danio. If I can find someone who will have her.

add some plants ph down is useless it will only bring your ph down slightly and it will buffer back up where you from test your tap water see what the ph is other than that i would use ro water

Well then can I suggest giving it back to your lfs.

im from norwich, uk...

just tested tap water, filled the basin a lil swirled the test strip around 2-3 times pulled it out and the pH is about 7.0

can't really give her back, i've had her for 1 1/2 years!!!

lol i used to be based down there in the army there is sumit in your tank that is raising your ph what gravel you useing
where did you buy that helmet thing from

ps theres a good aquatic place in the garden centre at tavernam

Sorry to hi-jack thread but what shop did you buy your clearseal tank in, cos I need to buy a clearseal hood for my tank.

thats where i go, the taverham garden center, the pH was high before i put the helmet in, plus the helmet is plastic...

only thing i can guess is the stones or the gravel...
i've left the tap water strip alone for a while and its gone to 8.5 now so hmm...

so live plants so get the pH down right?
normally the live plants i buy, die any real hardy ones?

you best of getting plastic ones how long your tank been set up
