I knew I had a pairing, but todayI noticed them cleaning the Val, then they began to spawn. So cool, both of my kids got to watch and I got several pictures. I am not planning to remove the eggs or try to hatch them as I don't have all of the extra tanks required to do a good job of it. Both parents are taking turns fanning the eggs now. It will be interesting to see if they make the attempt to parent or if they go ahead and eat the eggs. I would post a picture, but I don't see how to do it here. In the planted forum, there is an easy way to paste a photo to the topic.

Good job, host a few sexy baby angel fry if you can. I would like to have a good look at it.

The angels will take care of them for a while you may get you a few fry.. I have had my angels to spawn several times. With very good luck..

Well done!

I've not been sucessfull on the 3 spawns i've had due to fungus. Now I'm just waiting for them to spawn again so I can pull the eggs.

Good luck!

The angels did a fantastic job of parenting for exactly 24 hours. Actually, a bit less than 24. The morning after they spawned, about 12 or so of the eggs had gone white. Later in the day, I watched them pick the occasional white egg off and eat it, but it must have gotten too tempting because they slowly ate all of the eggs. This was their first spawn, so maybe in time they will get the hang of it. I am not overly concerned because I don't have the tanks or the time to properly raise angel fry. My job has me traveling 3 or 4 days each week. Tending those fry would be pretty impossible. It was great to watch, and I got some good photos.
