It's very robust and really funny to watch. I love it when it's just a nose poking out the sand.

No I have got 3 meant to be a trio but not 100% sure yet, think I might have 2 males dumb shop, might have to get females just to be sure it's a good ratio

It's actually quite hard to sex Bolivians in a shop because they aren't usually that colourful and the similarity in the fins is quite similar. Therefore you have to hedge your bets and catch the one with the most pointy fins for the male.
If they're so dumb then why didn't you sex them and choose the ones you wanted.

Your quite right, however it is not always thet case that the male has elongated dorsal fin and nowadays the female can also show this feature. Its worth having a read of this article:
