My Angel Has Spawned For The 3rd Time...but

So my angel has spawned for the third time since i have had her. She is still small ish; i'd say her body is approx 6cm round. This is the second time she has spawned on the filter intake of my tetratec filter. Both the previous 2 times she has spawned, the eggs have been eaten within a day. Is there anything i can do to stop this happening? I'm guessing this is probably becuase theu havent been fertilised.

I should also mention that i have another angel of the same size, which i think is male as i havent seen this one spawn, but i am thinking he doesnt know what to do as they are still young .

Any ideas?

As she is so small and still a juvenile she is sexually immature and the eggs are infertile. IMO I wouldnt worry till she gets to about 7.5cm by this time she'll of matured and know what to do, and you'll have flights of baby angels!

Maturity with angels has more to do with age than size. They will produce viable spawns a s young as 7 months from what I have seen, and some color varieties and lines grow slower than others. I've had blacks that were barely bigger than 1" body size pair & produce viable spawns.

I would put the pair in their own tank, barracade the filter intake with plants or other decorations so they are prone to spawn on these items.
