Here is some photos of my 30gal tank and what I have in the tank right now...

African Butterfly Fish
Pictus catfish (2)
Spotted raphael catfish
striped raphael catfish
Angelfish (2)
Royal pleco
Archer Fish
Painted glass tetra's (4)
bala shark (2)
Glass Cats (2)
strawberry tetra (think that is the name)

Bought 4 green painted glass tetra's. Now I wish that I never did since I read on this board how they got that color. Very sad :( . I have had this tank for about 8 months now. The two angelfish are never very far from each other. They laid eggs twice, but they never last more than two days. Guess my catfish eat them at night. My two Pictus cats fight sometimes, but most of the time they laying next to each other like in the photo of them, or they are swiming up and down the glass. Very fun to watch them swim. Haven't been able to get any photos of my two raphael cats. Will take some of them when they come out to eat. Want to get a bigger tank for some more pleco's and cat fish. Want to get a zebra and a Blue-eyed Pleco.

nice pics, ur angels are very pretty too..i was just wonderin' if your ABF is agressive?? ive read that they were, and dont they get quite big too??? :kewlpics: :kewlpics:
The Butterfly isn't agressive at all. I have had him for 4 months now. Likes eating live food (more than the Archer does). Doesn't go after other fish at all. The only thing I had a problem with was when I first got my angles they thought his fins on the bottom him was food. He likes to have plants on the top of the water so he can hide in them (need to buy some more for him).

Make sure you have a top on the tank. Likes to jump a lot. Wakes me up at night some times when he jumps.

Just don't put in any smaller fish that swim up at the surface (ie. hatchets, danios, guppies, etc.), or the ABF will likely make quick work of them . . .

30 gal isn't really a small tank, but to me it still seems like you have a LOT of REALLY BIG species . . . it will become over-stocked eventually, if only because the balas will get BIG.

great fish though :)

Do your angels ever freak out at the sight of the pictus???
Nope. After all the food is gone from the top of the tank the angels follow the pictus cats when they are eating to find more food at the bottom of the tank. At least that is what it looks like they are doing.

@ tear-scar

I am hoping by that time I will have my own place, then I will get me 50+ gal tank. I would like to buy one right now, but it is in my room and my parants wont let me get that big of a tank in my room.

Aren't archer fish brackish? Or can they tolerate freshwater? They are very cool, and I love that rocky arrangement in the middle of your tank :)

Yes, but when I went to the pet store to buy the fish they said they if they raised in fresh water then they will be fine. That one I bought was. Is this true, I don't know. I gues it is, because I have had him for over 4 months.

Here is a better photo of my spoted raphael. Got a photo of him while he was eating this morning.

a 30 gallon tank for all of those fishes? aren't u overstocked esp. ur keeping fishes that have potential to grow big such as bala sharks? do u plan to upgrade or something?

Yes I am going to get a bigger tank... My mom might take them and put it in her 50gal tank when they get bigger.
