Hope You Enjoy

   You have a betta in there with those fish and that size tank? Noooo you can't do that the black tetra will eat all the fins on the betta and attack it. Also a betta will get stressed out in that big of a tank, the biggest size tank need is a 10 US g. Please remove the betta into something smaller because if the black tetra doesn't kill it the size of the tank will. Also you need at least 5 or more black tetras since they are schooling fish and needs to be in school of at least 6 or more.

You should either put the betta in the 1g square tank you have or the 10g after you cycle the 10g. Also I believe the flying fox will get like 6" long.

I have to disagree with this. I had my betta in a 30gal tank with platies, guppies, tetras, catfish and cories and it loved the space. It wasn't at all freaked out by the space. I am not sure about the black tetra attacking the betta but I would say the betta would be more likely to attack it than be attacked. Unfortunately I had to move the betta from that tank as it spooked my platies when they were trying to mate

Try saying that in the Betta forum and you'll get viciously attacked
:p

Nice tank so far.
Please research fish before you buy them.

I'm sure Bettas would enjoy the space too. Only reason they are kept in those bowls is because they can breathe atmospheric air. Bigger tank and more space I say. It's just like sticking a goldfish in a bowl !! :(

i forgot to say that i emoved it it was only in there for ab9out an hour when i saww thebetta going after the tetra!! :grr: well i did sart this topic for my tanks diary and did wnt possitive commentsa on it oh well :X

yer they are i had 10 of those but they al gpt a fungus in a 10 gallon with a shrimp!! and i treated it but none of the m survived apart from one :(

anyone got anything positive to say about my tank :-(

As I said, your tank still has lots of potential :D
Do you have any lights in there ? It looks very dark ?
You might also find that using some kind of background (even just a black waste bag!) will make a big difference.

thanks bloozoo when i move in about a month the tank will be taken down agen :X dno why i started it now im so stupid anywya when i mvoe im allowed £50 to buy whatever i want ontop of the stuff alreayd in there  YAY!!!

I'd like to say that your tank looks lovely! Shouldn't be a problem when you move. Just remove the fish into bags of tank water, take out the filter and bag it up with filter medium intact in some tank water. Then drain the tank, keeping some water if possible, take out plants and bag them, remove decor and off you go.
Good luck.

thanks glolite tank will be alot better when i move as i get £50 for it for a background more plants and some hardware :):):):):):)

sorry i think your tank looks boring.
You should get heaps of plants bogwood and more rocks.

I keep my female bettas in a 20 US gallon, and they are by far more happy and energetic than any of the fish I have in 10 gallons, 5 gallons, or 2 gallons. I used to have a veiltail with a lot of 'baggage' in there a long while back, and he had absolutly no problem getting from top to bottom. I understand that a HM or something would have a lot of trouble, but critisizing anyone who keeps their betta in an environment over 10 gallons is just silly. It all depends on the fish, and I know my fish are fine >_>

But I still agree with the tank mates listed, that betta needs to go. Tetras are schooling, and tetras are fin shredders.
