So im starting my 220ltr tank for a third time! :S
Ive spent so much money and put in so much time that this really is the last time in going to bother!

I've just threw my old background out (as some of you may know, it was a marine background for a tropical tank . . . school boy error  ) and replaced it with a black background. I've cleaned my gravel and im going to clean the tank when i get a moment

Ive been out today and ive bought some plants. My girlfriend spotted a great piece of bog wood, cost me £12 and will look great in the tank! Im going to get a big bucket later and thats going in to soak!

So once the tanks been cleaned im going to put fresh water in and then the cycling starts! Everyone recomend the fishless cycle?

Right, thinking of fish. Ive a soft spot for angels (and after my two prized angels died im determined to get a pair of impressive angels again). I was thinking of some Discuss and Goriami's aswell . . . Looking for suggestions here! As some of you also know . . . ive been sold some very uncompatable fish in the past so i wanna check before anything goes in! We saw some Elephant nose's . . . how would they fair?

Im gonna keep adding to this post . . . once theres some water in, i'll get some pics up too!
Im determined to make it one work so im welcoming all help! :)

Good on ya for starting it up again.

alot of people are against keeping discus and angels togeather however i have seen it done very succesfully.
Discus are so so so so so difficult to keep tho, even experienced fishkeepers have problems. Angels are 10 times hardier so i would stick with a nice shole of them (4+ koi angels maybe)
Goriamis are nice fish, my girlfrind found them to be alittle sensitive in her tank (they died) but i think with moderate care they should be fine.

What about some hardy bottom species (some plec species not advised as they hurt the angels) small catfish (corys, hoplo ect) or loaches.
