My 20 Gallon

I got this tank for free with a profile heater and a whisper 20 filter and bubble maker, I bought the rocks, plants and gravel and the fish myself ( 5 neon tetras, 3 platys) I had 6 neons but one died almost right away although the rest seem to be doing fine now any comments about how things are set up, and or good fish to add are really welcome

Looks cool. Im guessing that the tank is cycled? You got the filter that had the spondges still dirty?

everything was brand new , I unfornately learned about ( i'm using the term learned very very loosely) after I got the tank and put fish in it, but I have had the tank for about a week and I took 10% of the water out one time and I have tested the waters ph it is 7.2 and I added some stuff that is posed to make tap water safe for fish, but really I am here to learn what I should be doing better.............
