My neons Winkin and Blinkin have been settled in their new tank for about a day now and they still arent inerested in thetropical fish food flake I drop in the tank. I leave it in for a minute before my filter starts to break it up and throw it to the bottom...then I net it out. I have frozen bloodworms I give to my bettas, but thats the only other fish food I have, aside from the betta pellets. Is there anything else I can do?

Love there names, how many neons do you have as they like to be in groups, some fish don't eat for a day or two when you have first bought them due to the stress of the move, nothing to worry about yet.

Right now I just have 2, the LFS only had two when I went, (I came the day before they got more fish in) and I plan on getting 3 more. I bet it probably is the stress from the move, I'll give them another day before I go into overtime worry. And thanks, I like the names too, I'll have to get Nod later. ;)

Neons feel safer in groups, it also could be that so please like you say add some more.

i would advise you try and raise their numbers to preferably 8; 6 is the minimum number and any less than that and they just die off.
In the wild neons rely on their vast numbers to survive and shoals can exceed 100 so when they are in very small shoals they become very stressed even if there is no apparent threat, their instincts tell them somthing is very amiss and they die off.

I am hopefully going tomorrow or the day after to get more neons. I really only have room to get 4 more right now, since I am getting a guppy or 2 later.

Ok guys crisis over, after not eating for a week, I bought 4 new neons, (Nod, Flash, Zippy and Chippy! :p ) And now everyone is eating and looking a lot better.

 Great glad to hear it.
