My 2 New Mollies - Love Em :)

Just got 2 new mollies, got a really nice orange and black one had to snap her up cos i think she is great.. and also a white sailfin

What ya think?

My question is, does the female have a specific name for her colours?

At first i though the orange/back was a massive platy! Looks like it's a Poecilia sphenops of some sort but not good on mollies soz.

One other thing though you got them with your Limia grossindens. This not advised as Poecilia and Limia crosses are known of and personally should be avoided.

It is massive compared to most mollies lol, even the sailfin is huge.


Why should it be avoided, is there any specific reason? like deformitites or anything?

Limia grossindens are still rare in the UK and if you did cross then you would not be able to sell them as Limia grossindens any more.
This is whats happened with true endlers and why you never see true endlers
