I bought this tank back in August and I haven't really decided what I want to put in there and it's still not completely decorated, but here is a picture anyway! It's my pride and joy. :D

And here is a video of the jurupari and pulcher eating bloodworms. The video is from about a month ago, before there were plants in there. Sorry for the noisy camera movement.

Really nice tank. How are you finding the geos? Are they interesting?

I like the dappled lighting, tank looks good. How do your Satanoperca get along with each other?

Thought anymore on what else you're going to add?

Thanks for all of the compliments!

mark7616: Yeah, you're probably right. I just had a look on the internet at different pulcher and microlepsis and microlepsis definitely looks more like the fish. I IDed him a long time ago and never really looked again, so thanks for correcting me!

Catfish Are Cool: The geo's are one of my favorite fish to own. I find them to be very interesting, since they have a different way of feeding and acting compared to other cichlid species. They are not completely docile (they definitely have the ability to defend themselves), but they are not anywhere near as aggressive as most SA cichlids.

jayjay: The Satanoperca are bipolar, haha. They can't stand being away from each other at all, but since they are both males (or what I think are two males), they bicker amongst themselves. The less dominant one has a few split fins from being nipped at by the more dominant one.

I've actually thought about adding a group of Geophagus sp. "Red Head" Tapajos (probably about 6). Then I would love to have different bicher species and oddball cats. The tank is also going to have more plants when I'm finished with it. I am going to add onion plants to the back, behind the large wood, and allow them to grow really long across the top of the water, to make the tank even more dim. I'll probably add more amazon swords to the right and get rid of the pathetic apono over there.

Here's a video of my Synodontis decorus. My camera was way to slow to take a picture of him, so I had to resort to video... He's a little more than 8" at the moment and I've had him for around 2 years.
