Mustard Gas Question

Hi people just been looking at some mustard gas bettas and was wondering how I would get the colours I wanted is it as simple as have a mustard gas male with a certain colour I like and put it to a female with the other colour I'd want and see what happens or is there more to it. Is there a female mustard gas that would be needed
