Has any one seen a two row light? I have been looking for a light or a top that will acomidate two sets of lights. I would like to have one set of lights for regular daytime lighting and a set of blacklights for when I feel the 70's party mood coming on. Is this posible? Would it be harmfull to the fish? I think some neons and glowfish would look pretty groovey uner a blacklight.

You can get fluorescent fixtures that house dual T8 tubes or Coralife makes a dual T5 setup. You probably need the first - because Home Depot sells T8 GE brand black-lights. I've never seen a T5 light.
As for being harmful to a fish - nopes - my mate has one as backlight on a betta tank - the fish looks unreal / evil (it's mostly red with white markings that stand out).

I have a light a home that has 4 (2 pairs of) lights that has two power switches on it so I can either have 2 lights or all 4 lights on.
It is the size for a 3ft tank

I was thinking of doing this aswell but am waiting for two of the lights to blow.
The thing is I don't use this light anymore scince I got my new bigger tank

depending on what colour fish you have - it can make for an interesting effect... I've always wanted to do a moon-light effect

They sell led lights that do a great moon light effect. I plan to use those when I get a big tank for the living room. Ristof would you mind finding a brand and model of the lights you have? That sounds like just the trick I am looking for. One more thing.

GO STARS!!!!

Stroker.. Are you watchin the Van-Dallas game too?

Sorry to get off topic... another option if you are willing to spend the money on a hood is getting a glass top. Finding dual-tube fluorescent fixtures then becomes a lot easier. It's a shame you can't get T5 black-lights because Coralife's fixture is pretty low-profile and lights the tank up nicely.

Stroker >> too bad about Dallas, eh?

You can do that. At my lfs they have a tank on show which is to tell you that you can make your tank look so cool, and when its past 5:00pm (Yes they are open till that time)they put on the black lights and man it looks so cool.

It's one thing to find dual tube florescent fixtures and another to find them with a switch and ballast for each tube. I thought about looking for a tank that was wide enough to just fit two regular light sets on it but that's unlikely.

Yeh, they just couldn't play like they did Saturday. I want to say they beat themselves with the penalties but I think the officiating was horrible for both teams, why don't they just let them play in the playoffs.
