i was thinking of getting some mud skippers, although i am not sure if i should. i would have a tupperware plastic container around 15 us gallons, and another container that is 1ft 10.9 in x 1ft 5in x 7.3 in. this container would be for land, the 15 for water, connecting them with a bridge going from one to the other. i doubt my mom would let me keep another tank though, even if i did construct it like this. i have had kept mud skippers successfully before when i was young, and i was a noob(dad took care of tanks) . they were in a 15 gal, 2 of them, i fed them crickets, and never did waterchanges. we just poured salt in from a petstore and they lived for a while surprisingly until i got bored of them. i cant believe i got bored of them :X , then i traded them in for 2 lizards which died because the tank water was still brackish which i couldnt understand. well, i just wanted to know the different types of mud skippers so i can do some research on them. ive heard of an african spiecies, requireing a large tank, and an indian species not requireing a not so large tank. thanks for the help! :)

is boleophthalmus boddarti your favorite because you have one? do you have any tips on keeping these fish? i have many different plans on constructing a habitat for these fish. i read arcticles in the site you gave me, it says that they need water changes once a week. is that true? one plan that i think i am going to go through with is to get a tank that has a large foot print, but isnt to deep, i would fill this tank completely with brackish water. this tank would have a filter in it, but im not sure what type i should use. then there would be two or one plastic container on the side of this tank, filled with sand. the mud skippers could go from the water to the container on a bridge like drift wood piece. i just would like to know the recomendations for how much room this fish should have, and how often i should do water changes. a filter recomendation would aslo be helpful. thanks :D

EDIT: oops, i also wanted to know the most common spiecies availible to petstores in the US. i would like to have mud skippers that dont get too big and require a huge tank. thanks!
