after many attempts i have at last witnessed 'parential care '. mrs krib brought the babies out for a swim ... after the last few days of having to remove all other fish because the kribs were beating them up so badly , all seems to have fallen into place . pebbs

Glad to hear it, kribs are unbelievable parents and having to remove other fish while they are breeding is all to common. Looks like you've handled it really well so enjoy the babies!

ty.., mr krib is getting henpecked by mrs ... whats new !! but he wont harm the babies will he ?by the way have about 24 new 'little ones''.

Mr Krib can cause problems in a few weeks - when hes ready to breed again he can annoy mrs krib and thats when you may need to whip the fry out into their own tank.
I've never had problems with Mr and Mrs with the fry but after 4-5 weeks he wants to breed again and she doesnt and that can get a bit tastey in the tank. So i normally whip the fry out into another tank to raise them.
