Mr. Silver Is Not Swimming

My male betta whom i've had for about two months has been acting kind of strange lately. He will swim a little and the stop and stay there and not move. I keep thinking he is dead and then a couple of minutes later he will swim off. It's kind of like he is sleeping and then he suddenly wakes up. What is wrong with him??

ive had some that have had a few problems like that but it was right after i got them...but they ended up being fine...does he look any different or about the same?

Fish do go into a suspended animation-type sleeping stage. Maybe he's just takin' a snooze!

And you keep waking him up If there's no changes I'm sure he's fine. Some of my boys just sit and stare at me sometimes. I make faces at them and they usually swim off.

This is sort of what hector has been doing. I think he's dead lying on the borrom and then he pops up, swims to the top gets air and hides in his little cave again.

Sounds like he's having a good snooze and hung out the do not disturb sign which ppl can't read...
