Fish Crazy
Well, my wife and I applied for a new place this week, and we got it, so we will be moving in about a week. Which means I have to move 4 tanks.
I have a 50g mbuna tank, a 30g with a pair of kribs, a 10g with about 25 cichlid fry (2 weeks old), and a small 2.5 hex with a betta.
I just want to make sure I am doing this right. We are only moving about 5 minutes or so down the road, so it won't be a very long trip. For the mbuna tank, I was thinking I would take all the rocks out except for the very bottom layer that are dug into the sand, net all the fish and put them in a 5g bucket, and drain most of the water out and move it.
For the other tanks, I was thinking of just putting the fish in bags and taking most of the water out and transporting. The betta I may just remove some water and leave it in the tank.
Is this the best way? I haven't had to move since I got into fish, so this is my first time attempting it. If anyone has experience with it let me know what you've found is best. Thank you to anyone that can help.
