I'm in the process of moving my tank to another floor and I'll have to take everything out to do it. When I move the tank I'll be adding the gravel back in and adding flourite to it. What I'd like to know is should I take all the plants out do a gravel vac and then transfer the gravel and flourite back into the tank. I'm assuming that this way I can save the beneficial bacteria in the gravel and just transfer my filter over. Also, how long does the pH level take to climb back up if I stop injecting C02? I ask this because I'll be transfering my fish to another tank that has a pH of 8.2. Right now with diy C02 my pH is 7.2 Any tips on making a smooth transition would be appreciated.

Thanks :)

Your only spose to raise/lower ph by something like 0.5 per hour or something like that, otherwise the shock can kill them.

Thanks Rodders. What I think I'll do is wait for the diy c02 to run out, which should be soon. I guess this way the C02 going in will slowly be reduced and the pH will rise back up to where I want it.
