Bored into leaving
Well, since he won't put up the pics we took
Here's some from the big move of CFC (and Moray).
As I'm sure most of you are aware, CFC has a big tank, like 205 gallons big. This used to reside on the first floor. Obviously, the tank had to go downstairs. Regretably there are no pics as it took 5 of us (including Nina at the bottom to keep an eye on the door way, two blokes holding the weight by ropes from the top, and two holding it from underneath) to slide the tank down a purpose built slide. But it was a good laugh really...
First off, a couple of pics of fish in the tank in its old place (you will have to forgive me not knowing all the scientific names of CFC's fish
):
The flag tail:
One of the Peacock Bass:
And one of the 'rays saying hello:
Obviously, moving a big tank requires draining first:
And one has to catch the fish (although this is the catching of the brackish fish...and who gets to hold the bag open for CFC to put the venomous Stonefish into...that's right, your author...
and he picked a nice small bag too...):
The fish were moved into Temporary accomodation (a 6x2x2... don't we all just have one of those lying around? B) ). This made for interesting viewing, as the whole 200 gallons' worth of fish, all decided to try and fit in one corner... But we did get some great photos of larger fish together that you rarely see:
If memory serves correct, those pics include the big pim (whose species I can't remember, a crying shame since he is my favorite of CFC's fish...
and a beast at around 2 feet long) the ornate bichir, the spotted shovel, the flag tail, one of the 'rays, and probably others I can't see right now (or can't dare try and identify...).
Here is quite a nice pic of a 'ray, obviously feeling a little camera shy...
Sadly, at some point (and we never did agree quite when) the big tank was discovered to have a crack in it. You can just see it in this, it ran almost the entire length of the bottom pane, however it is now patched and fine, though if he double skins the bottom, I for one am not moving it...
I mentioned the Stonefish earlier. This thing was rarely seen, but I managed a good couple of photos, can you see him (Cue "Where's Wally" music):
Enjoy
Andy

I love them
actually those are my fish, andy was just kind enough to take some pictures while he helped me move house a few weeks ago.
And the pim rocks
(with envy that is).
