im moving house in about a month, my tank is cycling at the moment

how much of an uproot is to move the tank and how will it affect the water?


the tank will have completed its cycle by the time i move, and i wont have any fish in the tank at the time, but will putting the water into buckets for an hour or so affect it badly?

im guessing i will have to keep my filter media in tank water as well so the bacteria doesnt die off

The water isn't so much the problem, its just about keeping that bacteria alive in the filter. Youu need to make sure it stays wet in some of the tank water but if you end up losing 90% of the water and just keeping 10% for the filter submerged you'll be fine. How long will it take from when you break down til you set up again? You may have a mini cycle but it shouldn't take log to re-establish once there.

im only moving about 10 mins drive away so hopefully i can leave the tank till the last thing, with it fully running and just turn it off for approx an hour or so

what concerns me is that its a juwel filter and im not sure what filters i need to keep submerged and which i dont
