Moving House Soon!

I'm going to be moving house in about 6 weeks time. Luckily it isn't far (about a mile) and I only have a 60 lt tank with about 10 fish in, so I'm not expecting it to be too much of a trauma!

Just thought it would be a good idea to see if anyone has had good (or bad) experiences with moving house in the past.

I've given it some thought and have A PLAN but I wonder if there are any 'SHOWSTOPPERS' which I need to look out for.

Well since its only a mile then just bag the fish and save about 75% of the water and toss the rest of the water then put the gravel/sand is a bucket of tank water to keep it alive then put filter media in bag of tank water and move the tank and set it up as fast as you can.

leave the gravel in the tank... (you should be ok to lift the 60l with it in)

keep the filter wet (in a bucket)

and bag the fish up.
