I am thinking of moving all of my guppies to a 29 gallon for breeding. I want to do this because currently I have about 3 males and 4 or 5 females in a 20 gallon. I tried moving 2 females and 1 male in there one time, but I moved them back because I thought they were too small for the tank and I could barely even find them. In the 20 gallon I have 2 small pictus catfish, 1 cory, some platys and the guppies I think that this is a little overstocked. In the 29 I have 3 mollies, a couple albino cories, and 2 very small angelfish. Another reason why I moved them back the first time is because I have a powerful undergravel filter and I thought it was stressing them out, so I turned in down, but I was afraid that the other fish werent getting enough oxygen. Do you think I should move them?

If the tank is overstocked then by all means you should move them, you need 1 or 2 more females though for your group though.

ok I thought it might be overstocked, but the only thing that is holding me back from moving them is the filter, since it more powerful than the one they have now, it might stress them out, but I could always turn in to a lower power. Yeah I was going to go to the lfs today to get 2 more females.

Guppys enjoy a good strong current although if they are delta tailed guppys(long tailed guppys, not short tailed ones), they do not like strong currents but you should be able to adjust your current on your tank filter somhow anyways  .

Just turn the filter current down a little bit and they'll be fine- you will probably be better off keeping 1male and 2females in the current tank and moving the rest to the newer one- how many gallons is your current tank and what and how manyfish does it hold?

The current tank has 5 platys, 2 baby pictus catfish, and a cory and its a 20 gallon.

You'll be fine then, just leave 1male and 2female guppys in the current tank and move the rest into the new one :) .
