I have 2 week old platy fry. There's about 18 of them. I'm thinking about moving them into a 6 gallon with my 2 month old guppy fry and an otto. I have a UV sterilizer and a sponge over the filter intake to prevent them from being sucked up. What's the best way to ensure they aren't stressed out and die on me? What's the best way to move them?

As long as the temperature are the same and the parameters are good just move them as you would normal fish i do this often between my tanks, they all run at the same temperature and are all filled with the same water (treated tap water) then there should not be a element of stress for them.

u should be fine, just make sure you have a gentle way of moving them

Although I would advise you to hang on for a couple of weeks, but if you really have to move them then half fill the new tank with water from the tank they are in now, corral the fry into a large margarine tub or similar and transfer to new quarters. Over the comming days gradually top up the new tank with fresh water. Nothing gets new fry to grow faster than clean quarters, regular waterchanges and a varied diet.
