Moving Fry

Hi All

My Platys gave birth to a batch of fry last week, in a small tank, I found them when I was moving the adults into the main tank.

The gravel in the tank is dirty and I want to clean it, but how would I remove the fry from the tank while I clean? The three ideas I came up with were siphoning them out, scooping them out with a cup or netting them, but all of them have bad points.

I want the save the fry, so if you have any ideas they would be most appreciated!!

scooping should be the best, I use without fatalities.

Using a piece of perspex or similar (cut to size) corral all the fry to one end and clean gravel then do exactly the same at the the other side. Hey Presto!
