wish me luck with the move cos its 3 tanks i will be moving around lol

good luck!!!

i'm doing fish removals and re-homing in the next few weeks, dreading it!

Recently moved all my Mbuna from my 55 to a 65. I matured the filter in the 55, set the 65 up, moved the filter over, then the fish. The only problem was catching a couple of them, even with nothing in the 55, it took a while, especially my Afra, he did not want to be caught.

take out all rocks deco. bring the water wayyy down to about 3 inches and they almost jump in your net!

trace1, what types of fish are in there?

i'm not sure what type they all are i know i've got 2 yellow labs 2 firemouths & 3 melanochromis auratus the other 3 blue ones were just labeled as ice blue cichlid
these are the blue ones if any one can identify them :D
this one is different to the other 2 blue ones even thou i got them out of the same tank

I hate to drop the H-bomb on you but the second pic looks awfully like a hybrid between a lombardoi (kennyi) and Cyno. afra.

It's been known to happen ... hell, I've seen Labeotropheus fuelleborni hybridized with Pseudotropheus zebras.

ok so what about the top pic ?? i've seen loads of the second pic recently as well so if it is a hybrid then there is a lot of them about right now
but that would be about right for me as well to get the dodgy ones lol

I am c**p at the old identification thing, but I would say that the 1st is a socolofi and the second could be a elongatus of some discription??????? :S

well the move went ok & you were right mamafish 1 of them did jump into the net nearly cr*pped my self when it jumped lol. heres a pic of their new tank set up. still needs some work doing to it but its getting there :D
