Moving Fish

hey all i have a 5 gallon tank and am extremely new to owning an aquarium. I have 4 small fish all healthy but am faced with a problem. Ive just found out im gonna be working and living in swansea throughout the year but staying in bristol during easter,summer and christmas holidays. I have my heart set on continueing to have the aquarium and would have to obviously move it every holiday as the break would surely be too long?

The problem is transportation. What would you guys suggest to be the best method to move the fish in order to give them the best chance?

How long would the travel time from place to place be?

Many people have travelled with fish when they are moving to a new house and rarely have problems. There are a few different methods of transporting the fish depending on the amount of travel time.

it would take just under 2 hours

u could put them in a coolbox/ large conatainer

bag them ip individually then put them into a dark place like a cool box

provided you can keep the temp constant, moving a 5-gallon tank is no issue. Just siphon out half the water and move it as is.
