Moving Bed Media Filter

Hey thinking of doing a DIY Moving Bed Media Filter one cuz they are good for your tank and 2 cuz i like the look of them has anyone done one? i wanna just try and make one for my 10g just to see if i like it in my tank, any suggestions on a good size bottle?

Do you mean like a pop bottle with K1 media in with an air line?

IMO waste of time have done them twice now was worse then a cheap filter for me. 1st try was in a shrimp tank and run ok with no problems (i assume down to the tiny bio load). 2nd try was the same exact method but the filter could not handle a tank of apple snails after 2 months traces ammonia that never left the tank. Sponge filter all the way for me and prob cost less then the K1 media, was fun making and watching it though
