Moving A Tank During Cycling

It looks like i might have to move my current tank which is currently cycling (thankfully only to the otherside of the room).

My problem is i can't move it full of water it is far to heavy and the stand i have it on isn't very moveable either i was wondering if i dropped half the water out of it how would it affect the cycle?

I have been adding cycle to the tank to mature the filter quicker and also am going to squeeze some filter media in the tank from my other tank to help mature it also... To create ammonia i have been putting crushed fish flake in on an almost daily basis... i will give ammonia readings later...

You should be OK taking half the water out. Just look at it as a water change!

Just make sure the filter media stays wet with the tank water, and you should be okay. Though across the room isn't much at all. Still, it's good to be safe rather then sorry.
