Movie mistakes

Ok so I just watched water world with my daughter .. she loved it and rightfully so it’s a great film
But iv found a mistake .. and it’s bothering me to the point where I can’t let it go ,, why did Kevin Costner get gills ??? Humans are mammals so why didn’t he have a blow hole like a dolphin or a wale ??? Or why not extended lungs like a seal ??
Iv just ruining a childhood favourite in 10 seconds
Tell me a good reason so I can save this film lol
has anybody found a movie mistake that has destroyed the whole film for them ? Tell me the worst mistakes in movies

A blow hole would look weird though...
The reason why your wife is done with it is because women are intelligent and know how and when to let SOME things go...

I am curious though, where were the gills on him? The neck?

I’d like to agree but I don’t think my wife understands that mammals don’t have gills and the whole concept of a dolphin not been a fish is lost

No no no no I can’t expect that one man has taken a different evolutionary path to all other existing mammals.

I feel like an apology is needed from the director the producer and Kevin Costner himself before I can let this go

Well sense I have no say on evolution cause I don't really believe it I can't really do much for ya ...
But hey, I see it as a movie and a guy who has gills! It's Hollywood, not how that man get gills

I get what you mean but as a film I’m invested in this now I’m basically there , if me and Kevin were on his make believe raft thing n he was like look bro ... I got gills

Wow! A film I can watch over and over, totally ruined now! I never thought about the gills! You're totally right though, as a mammal it should have absolutely been some kind of blowhole...or just given him the ability to hold his breath for ages rather than gills I suppose it was all about him being an outcast-loner-nomad...he had to hide his crazy gills
