i have a pretty big, 4 inches or so, weather loach in my goldfish tank and i hear they eat snails?
so since i have a huge snail infestation in my tropical tank, could i move him in there for a while, to eat the snails?
the tank is quite cool for a tropical and i already have an assassin snail but he doesnt do his job very well, if at all.
im just worried about about the loach eating the smallest neon tetras in the tank since hes so big :/
thanks

He can be moved temporarily to the tropical tank, as long as the temperature is less than 26C. And don't worry about him eating the Neon Tetras, Weather loaches don't eat them.

Just make sure you get him used to the new temperature slowly.

Probably best to bag him & float the bag like when you buy new fish from your LFS, but with more water then usual so the change is slower. :good:

And yes they love snails as long as they ain't too big.

yeah don't worry about him eating the tetra's he wouldn't, but when your introducing him do it slowly so he can get used to the new water, and after no time he would of eaten all the snails, but if you see any shells around scoop them up because as the decompose they can change the balance of the water chemicals.
