Hi…

I’ve got a male dwarf gourami who appears to have a mouth ulcer…. Its tiny at the moment… but I wondered what is the best way to treat???

I was thinking …of course to isolate and treat with maybe some salt?? and meds?? I wasn’t really sure what meds to use though… I’ve got a all-round one and the general others but wasn’t really sure what this fell into…

All stats are normal … temperate is a little high as per the weather…they did have a little upheaval a few days ago…had to change the cabinet the tank was on…so it could be stress induced I guess…. Also the water around here is pretty hard I didn’t know if dwarf gouramis particular had problems with that???

Any help would be great!!!

Well gouramis seem to like soft to medium hard water but i think its probably the stress of changing cabinets. I've had sick gouramis and salt seems to help but never had a mouth ulcer so i can't help you there. hope he gets better! :(

Gouramis are prone to ulcers you will need to treat with anti internal bacteria med, good luck.

thanks guys....

should i use salt and the anti internal bacteria med...if so.. do u suggest a dilution of salt per litre etc..???
