Sorry I have a similar thread made but no reply and I'm really worried.

2 of my fish now have like a white bump on their mouth,
the danios did come off and he had it hanging but then it fell off and now it back again
the tetra has also on its mouth.
I have looked at mouth rot but cant find any early cases,
either way its white and looks nasty,
the tetra I would assume if it was mouth rot wouldn't be a white lump due to it being blue/red skinned,

Should I just treat for fungal treatment for mouth rot etc..

I did go to shops but bought the wrong damn treatment so returning it.
I picked up accidently,
Anti internal bacteria.

Should i use this or go grab anti fungus and fin rot.

thanks for any help

Carl

P.s cant give pictures as they are to active.

They still eat like pigs..

Im no expert on Illnesses but it sounds like a fungal infection. I wouldnt treat with the internal bacteria med, buy a fungal med from your LFS and try that.
Good luck

........MOD EDIT........

Nothing like a good troll fest to start monday on

Will you please stop giving bad advice!
This is an emergency section, if you have nothing valuable to add then don't post!

To the OP, have alook at this link to give you a better idea on how to treat it.

Mouth rot

I have treated with Antifungal / mouth/fin rot,

But seems to make no difference so far,
I seems like a little cotton wool lump on 3 of them now,
Will give th treatment more time and see what happens.

Its like a little lump on the tip of the mouth,
about the size of a grain of sugar,
it did come off, the danio must have caught it, but then a day later it was back,

the tetra has a similar one on its upper jaw (to the side slightly, (both are white)

I cant get a picture sadly..

Still sounds like a fungal infection.

What medication did you try ?

I just saw one of my tetras with similar lump on mouth yesterday

I take it you have removed your carbon filters too ?

My fish has now stopped eating and the medicine don't seem to be working.

I managed to get a picture albeit not a very good one,
he is still very active so It's hard to get a decent shot.

I have been treating with,
interpret Anti fungal mouth/fin rot it contains.
phenoxyethanol

I'm in a rush, i was due in work erm.... 20 minutes ago :X

Phenoxyethanol should to some degree give room for misdiagnosis, treating to an extent both bacterial and fungal infection.
With there being no clusteration and phenoxyethanol having had no effect i'd think it may be a tumour.

Although it could be an embeded worm larave.

Have you treated for the maximum (or a double) course?

Could be a serious bacterial illness hence its resiliance to medication, TB often results in white lesions, are there any red areas on/around the lesion?

No red or anything,
I dont think it's a tumor as my tetra has one also.
it also di go away for 1 day, I did see it coming off attached by some skin or something.
the mouth has not rotted or anything.
