Ibought a swordtail about 3 weeks ago and recently noticed white stringy stuff around its mouth.I put it into a quarintine tank using water taken from its own tank and started dosing it with Protozin which my lfs owner told me was the bees knees.Anyways it seemed to work and after a week Iput it back in its original tank. However Inoticed today that it seems to have returned
Its now back in the quarintine tank
Should I repeat the dose or does anyone knowany other products which might work? Its eating ok and hasnt been shimmying since Istarted the first treatment
Sorry for being so long winded

none of the rest of the fish seem affected

Great, just wanted to look at your stocking, would do daily water changes for a couple of days on the main tank, and the sick fish tank i would also do a few water changes good luck, add some salt to his tank, and a salt bath or two would be great for him.

cheers
didnt dare add salt to main tank due to loaches and am keeping a real close eye on the rest of the fish. Will buy some aquarium salt when I go back to work tomorrow. Dont want to lose him as he is such a lovely colour but its taught me that I shouldnt impulse buy from a shop Iknow nothing about
