last night, when feeding my fish before i go to bed i opened the tank lid and out flew a small moth around 2cm's, because moth's are attracted to light it flew back into the tank and onto the water, my 2 angel fish soon saw that there was something that looked like flake food but with eyes and legs that moved
All my fish wouldn't leave it alone, first the angels, then the platies, they were like peranas.

They loved the moth, so after looking around my house for another moth, i found another one around the same size and dropped it in my betta tank and it was soo cool to watch, he would jump at it then drag it under the water and start shaking his head, its so funny.

anyway what i wanted to know is are moths, ok for fish to eat?

they are all alive today anyway lol :)

Unless you plan to study on breeding moths, and get to working on what possible diseases they carry....
probably not...

do you know where those moths have been? What they ate? What's in them? What they might do your fishes digestive system? cool? maybe.... dealy? maybe.... harmless? maybe... but maybe is maybe, and you never put your fish in maybe situations. -_-

I would imagine they'd be fine, my only concern would be the dust that covers moths wings that gives them their coloring/patterning (does anyone know what it is made out of?), but yeah, i think moths are fine  .

I've fed mine moths before, I had a lot growing and living in my bedroom (spilt hamster food :/ ) and both the larvae (waxworms) and adults were eaten.
