Hi,
I have a large piece of Gold Vine that will go into my tank at a later date.

On the lower part of the branches I am thinking of attaching Anubias and further up some moss so that it grows up the upper branches.

Will the moss grow down towards the bottom of the vine or will it be more inclined to grow up as I would not like the moss to suffocate the Anubias,if it would I have no idea about that.

Thank you

depends on the moss iv found it grows up but it might not attach itself

Most mosses will grow towards the light. :)

Opps bit late in replying, thank you for the info,if I was to plant Anubias on the vine and then moss below it would the moss engulf the Anubias,I am thinking it would, but got to ask.

The anubias roots and rhizome might get buried but the anubias will grow fast and maybe over shadow the moss.

i dont think it will... iv done it with weeping moss and its not engulfed it. but then i did leave about a inch gap where i dident put moss

Thank you for the replies.
I may give it a try, worst case would be pulling the anubias off the vine if the moss looked like taking it over.I did google a few images with moss and anubias and though there was not a lot, those that I did see looked as though the two may well habitat the same wood together.

Thanks again.

It wont take over it, might just grow over the roots/rhizome is all mate.
