What species is the "stringy" moss? Not heard that name before. You can moss wall a lot of mosses quite easily, though one tip I've read is to let the moss grow from the top down as it spreads much faster apparently.

I don’t think stringy moss would work well, it is very thin approximately a quarter of the width of java and it looks like string or even thread, it doesn’t bush or grow thick in my experience.
