Moss Balls Have Arrived What Next?

just received the moss balls i ordered and just want to know what to do with them. do i add them straight to the tank or do i rinse them first??? are they suitable for cold water tanks too?

When I got mine (I used MosyMo), I just put them in the tank and squeezed the air out until they sank.

rinsing them might be a good precaution, just in case they have anything unwanted stuck to the surface (can't think of what though), then just throw them in a leave forever!

I've bought from Mosymo several times without any issue.

You can let them float around and see where they land!
During water changes give them a gentle squeeze in some water removed from the tank.

I have read that coldwater tanks will turn them brown.

Bought from Mosymo several times as well and always had great results with all. I appreciate the fact she compensates you greatly if not over compensates if you have smaller ones instead of a few large ones, I got 11 once when I had only paid for 6...

I soak them in a bowl of room temperature water for a bit then squeeze them a few times, there are a few strands of "moss"(algae) that break off.

Other than that, drop in and forget (but do turn them over on the odd occasionally).

aargh I just bought a moss ball and was about to complain that it is floating....I didn't like to squeeze it, is it safe then to do that and how hard....

Go on ebay and type moss balls and it comes up look for mosymo as seller, i have ordered from them twice with no complaints and very quick dispatch.
