Moss / Algae Question...

Hi all,

(You can see my tank stats below)

First of all... My tank is covered in a brown sort of algea (I think it is brown algae lol). My tank is not what i would called new new, its been running for 5 months. So any ideas why im getting it?

Also, ive got some moss that I attached to my bog wood, but Ive got some natural growing moss/ algae on my bog wood now got (You can see a large bit clearly on the photo, dark in colour) . My question is.. Is it ok, should i remove it, or leave it?

You probably don't have enough plants to fight the algae, read the pinned article on algae, also it might be ok to keep that algae, but sometimes algae kills plants. I've never had an algae attack, as I have 4 plecos and algae does't have time to spread, or appear for that matter.
