Photographs of Morgan settled in his new home (30 litre tank, divided with Oliver.)
I chose Olivers tank, as he's too laid back and ill to really care about another fish - and my current observations of the two is that he really doesnt care much.

Will update with tank image shortly.

He is gorgeous!

I'm sorry though, just wondering why you put him in the same tank with a sick fish? Aren't you worried he now may get sick too?

When I first got Oliver he suffered from Swim Bladder disease for a while, and thus ended up permanently damaged afterwards, with a slight curved spine and buoyancy.
This was about 2 months ago, and he's been like it ever since. Asides from that though, he's a bright and perky fish - just not able to move around much.

I also understand what caused the swim bladder and regrettably it was my own fault and not a bacterial infection.

Oh, I'm very sorry to hear that, ReiRei! I feel terrible for having asked.

He's still the cutest little thing xD It was a beginners mistake.

This is a picture of the current set up, with both fighters highlighted, Oliver's on the left xD Leaning sideways against the glass.
Sorry it took so long!

Lovely new boy.  :)  The tank looks really good.  I do have one question though.  Why is the water level so low?

Haha, Oliver learnt to jump. Despite his condition, he can jump xD So to avoid him leaping out in the mornings, I lowered the level of the water :'3
Plus, I'm paranoid about one jumping over the divider - as Morgan is interested in Oliver. Not flaring, just interested.

Love the pics! Say, is that a mossball-cave elevated on a suction-cup on Oliver's side? That's a great idea! Do you turn it now and then to ensure it does not dry out on the top?

Do you not have a lid on that tank?

Lowering the water level is not a safe surefire way to keep your bettas in the tank.    Just really watch your heater with the water level lowered like that.  Most heaters need to fully be under the water to work correctly and some can even burst if parts are left out of the water too far or for too long.  Other than that, the tank looks great!

I do, but he jumps up when he's fed in the mornings after the lid is lifted :) Yup, I'll move the heater down tonight then (Much to Olivers delight, I'm sure :p He hates me messing around in his tank.)
And thanks :'3

It's a barrell ornament with holes in it for him to enter and exit. Its a good way to keep him comfortable in his tank. Its made from plastic, and has a fabricy sort of layer of fake moss :)

lol, oh! Well, I am still going to think about maybe cutting a hole (or two like a barrel) into the huge moss-ball I've got. I think it may be a great hide-out for a fish! :D
