hi all, well i just looked at my ill guppy and she has her tale all shredded she on her own so not been bitten so could it be she got finrot i was assuming it was internal bacteria disease which i am treating her for.

Her tale is quite shredded and close to her body, what should i do if i have already treated her tank with bacteria meds?

you will need to kill the bacteria in the water or at least do lots of small water changes. as she is on her own add 1 level teaspoon of aquarium salt per gallon and 12 hours later do the same. maintain this for a couple of weeks and remember to add the salt back when doing water changes. bacterial finrot comes around from a build up of bad bacteria in the main tank, you will need to up your husbandry and do more frequent water changes and gravel vacs.

ok do i do the 2nd dose of bacteria med though

what meds are you using, and does it state on it finrot?

She has other issue as well, finrot in a secondary infection, the deseases are mounting up now the odds are against you, septicemia is hard to cure when it has progressed.
