getiing rio 400 at weekend going to empty water from 4 foot into it and the top up with new water, how long would you think i should wait until adding fish, i will be using the mature fluval 305 that was in the 4 foot and a new eheim pro 2.

also any ideas on stocking im hoping to keep sum fairy large fish if possible.

u would speed the cycle along and also maybe cycle it properly but best way 2 check is actually do a test on yiour water no better way 2 find out than the actual readings rather than just guess work


as for stocking u could have maybe oscars nice size tank for a couple of them , piraha maybe

If you are adding the mature filter it will be ok to use straight away as the filter is already cycled.

it depends on how much you plan on increasing your bio load. You filter will definately handle whatever you already have prvovided that it was in deed cycled (not saying it wasnt). I wouldnt drop like 30 more fish in but a gradually increase right away i would think would be ok.
