When I got up this morning one of my new guppys had died and was laying on the bottom of the tank (he was the one I posted about on thursday/friday as he had a split tail). Ive just looked at my fish now and noticed one guppy is swimming with his back end a lot lower than the others, when he turned slightly he looks like hes got a patch on his side that looks like cotton wool but he also has a lot of reddening around it, not sure if he has been fighting in there and its got infected.

What should I buy to treat it?
The tank currently has 2 red platys, 4 tetra, and 4 guppys plus a load of fry which havent been eaten yet/some still in hatchery box)

What temperature are you keeping them at? I get this problem when the temperature in the fish house drops too low.

Maybe think about raising the temperature a little and getting some medication. You will probably need to treat the whole tank. I don't have a favourite medication because I use the pond ones even in my aquaria but there are some good ones out there for fungus.

tank has been at 27-28degrees, tested water last night and had ammonia problems, managed to get help through the emergencies forum but thanks anyway
